Thank you to everyone who attended our Vintage Fabric Sale Fundraiser.  The day was a complete success!

Our volunteers were put to the test with huge piles of fabric presented by each lady in the crowd of buyers. There wasn’t much fabric left at the end of the day!

The funds raised have already paid for a huge roll of batting that we will use in our next Charity Quilt Challenge -Vintage Made Modern.

Our Vintage Fabric Garage Sale is this Saturday 4th May. Please circulate the details to everyone that you know who sews!

Prices start at $2 per metre for most of the fabrics on sale.

The proceeds from this Garage Sale will go towards buying supplies like batting for Wollongong Modern Quilt Guild’s Charity Quilts Project.

In the event of rain, the sale will move inside Bulli Community Centre.

February Sew Day was our biggest sew day since the formation of the Wollongong Modern Quilter’s Guild! 19 people came to share and stitch and munch and chat.

Carole unveiled her beautiful Good Fortune quilt (pattern by Kate Spain; fabric by Kaffe Fasset) - such an effective pattern and fabric choice.

Everyone admired Rachael’s free motion quilting on her rainbow quilt. This quilt is going to be super-crinkly and soft! And we love her scrappy rainbow binding.

Sonja’s I-spy quilt looks great with adorable fabrics.

Check out the detail of the quilting on WMQG’s first charity quilt. Thanks to Jo for her amazing long-arm quilting. Now all it needs is some binding.

Strips were popular this month - both Diane and Glenda shared some strippy quilts.

Convergence quilts were also featured this month - this purple one was made by Bev.
